with human scale
Large-scale, compact and highly condensed – a city within a city. The first Moscow project by Dutch firm de Architekten Cie. comprises a thousand flats, densely clustered on a relatively small inner-city site. Eight towers rise from a six-metre high base in the 145,000 m² quarter. The targeted use of different clinker brick assortments, contrasting in colour and structure, creates the impression of a vertical city. Thanks to the use of clinker bricks, it was nevertheless possible to convey a “human scale” here.
